Homemade Cleaning Supplies - What You Need To Create Your Own Homemade Cleaning Products

There is really just a very short list of homemade cleaning supplies that you may need if you choose to make your own homemade cleaning products.

These supplies include:

  • Alcohol, ethyl or isopropyl
  • Ammonia
  • Baking soda
  • Borax
  • Chlorine bleach
  • Cream of tartar
  • Hand dishwashing liquid
  • Laundry detergent (both liquid and powder)
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Powdered automatic dishwashing detergent
  • Salt
  • Vinegar
  • Washing soda
  • Water

Various combinations of these ingredients will make virtually any homemade cleaning products you can think of. Some examples include:

Homemade Does Not Equal Green

There is a distinction, of course, between homemade cleaning products, and green cleaning products.

Not all of the supplies listed above are green, but they are commonly found in your home, work on a wide variety of places, and are generally inexpensive.

Cleaning Equipment

In addition to these cleaning products and other household supplies, you will also need plastic buckets, spray bottles, rags and sponges, among other cleaning equipment if you want to make your own cleaning products.
