Homemade Furniture Polish - How To Make Furniture Polish

There are many versions of homemade furniture polish that you can use in your home instead of having to use commercial polishes.

The advantages of knowing how to make furniture polish, and then it, instead of a commercial product, include:

• It is cheaper than buying a commercial furniture polish in the store.
• Natural furniture polish can be better for the environment, because some commercial products may contain formaldehyde, a chemical many people do not want in their home.

Here are some eco friendly furniture polish recipes you can use:

Olive Oil And Vinegar Furniture Polish

Ingredients:

• 3 parts olive oil
• 1 part distilled white vinegar

Directions for use:

Mix the ingredients together, and apply sparingly with a soft lint free cloth. You may wish to place them in a spray bottle, to better spray the homemade polish onto the cloth.

This polish is best suited for cleaning your wood furniture, and should not be used very often.

Please note you should discard any remaining homemade polish after use, because it does not store well. Therefore, only make as much as you will need for one application at a time.

Lemon and Olive Oil Furniture Polish

Ingredients:

• 2 cups of olive oil
• The juice of one lemon

Directions for use:

Mix the ingredients together, and apply sparingly with a soft lint free cloth. You may wish to place them in a spray bottle, to better spray the homemade polish onto the cloth.

Buff the polish onto the furniture until you see a beautiful shine. You will also enjoy the lemony scent throughout your home.

Please note you should discard any remaining home made furniture polish after use, because it does not store well. Therefore, only make as much as you will need for one application at a time.
