Some Head Lice Books For Kids - Resources
(Household Management 101)
Below are some head lice books for kids that you can read with them, to help them understand and not feel bad about getting head lice.
I don't know about you, but the first thing I do when I don't know about a subject is go to the library and find some good books.
The Internet can be nice too, but there is something comforting about holding a book in my hand.
Kids, when they find out they have head lice, can feel scared, confused, grossed out, ashamed, and all kinds of other emotions. So can their siblings, whether they have lice themselves or not.
One way to work through these feelings, and let them feel better about themselves, is to learn more about what is happening, and why they are not at fault.
I encourage you to go to your local library and see what lice books they have available in the kids section. When we went I found quite a few, all in the juvenile fact section.
Hopefully you won't need these lice books for too long in your home, if you follow the instructions in this head lice treatment series
In addition, here are some books available through Amazon.com, which are designed as fact books for kids. In addition, the one entitled Natalie's Lice Aren't Nice
is actually written by a little girl who had head lice, and said what she learned about the whole experience.
This post is part of my series on Head Lice Treatment
. Start at the beginning of the series, and read it all if you need instructions on this right now. Don't panic -- learn the facts before you act!
