Homemade Stainless Steel Cleaner And Stainless Steel Polish - Recipe And Instructions

Homemade stainless steel cleaner is used to clean things like stainless steel sinks, pots and pans.

Homemade stainless steel polish is used for protecting and shining the surfaces of stainless steel appliances.

Below are recipes for both the homemade cleaner and the homemade polish, both of which contain natural ingredients so you can feel confident about using them in your home.

Homemade Stainless Steel Sink Cleaner (Also For Pots And Pans)

Ingredients:

• 3 tsps cream of tartar
• 1 tsp hydrogen peroxide

Directions:

Step 1: Make a paste of the cream of tartar and hydrogen peroxide.

Step 2: Rub the paste onto the stainless steel with a soft clean cloth, and let it dry.

Step 3: After the paste has dried wipe it clean with water, and then dry with another clean cloth.

Vinegar For Removing Hard Water Spots

To remove water spots from your stainless steel sink, flatware, pots and pans, which are caused by hard water, the simplest and most effective method is to use white vinegar.

Merely wipe down the stainless steel with a soft cloth soaked in vinegar, and then rinse off the vinegar, and dry thoroughly.

Homemade Stainless Steel Polish For Appliances

Ingredients:

• Lemon oil

Directions:

Place a very small amount of this lemon oil (a few drops at most) onto a clean nonlinting cloth and rub the oil onto your stainless steel appliance surfaces or other stainless steel items that do not come into contact with food.

This homemade stainless steel appliance cleaner will help protect these surfaces from acquiring those pesky fingerprints that it seems stainless steel surfaces acquire so quickly.

Hint: You can substitute baby oil for lemon oil if you wish.
