Homemade Silver Polish - Silver Polish Recipe

Homemade silver polish should be used once you have removed the tarnish from your silver with homemade silver cleaner.

This home remedy silver polish should be made ahead of time, and once made will keep for approximately three months.

Home Made Silver Polish Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup liquid vegetable based soap, such as castile soap
• 1/2 cup liquid bluing (found in the laundry section of most grocery stores)
• 1/2 cup ammonia (non-sudsing variety)
• 1 cup hot water

Directions:

Step 1: Mix all ingredients together, and place into a bottle with a cap. Shake well to mix.

Step 2: The liquid must cool to room temperature before it is used. Shake well to make sure everything is still mixed before use.

Step 3: Apply a small amount of the silver polish onto a clean soft, nonlinting cloth, and then polish the silver with it.

Step 4: When finished polishing rinse the silver under running water, and dry thoroughly with a clean, soft, nonlinting cloth, and then buff the silver to a rich luster.
