Homemade Mildew Cleaner - Get Rid Of Mold And Mildew From Your Tile And Walls

Homemade mildew cleaner is easy to make, and its most important ingredient is chlorine bleach.

I see lots of homemade cleaner recipes out there regarding killing mold and mildew with vinegar, but I have seen no scientific evidence that vinegar, a mild acid, will actually kill all or even most of the mold and mildew on your tile or walls.

Instead, I have a feeling that many of these recipes calling for using vinegar work more through the process of physical removal of the mold and mildew spores, such as through scrubbing them off the wall or tile, instead of actually killing the fungus.

To really kill mold and mildew the simplest and most effective way is to use chlorine bleach.

Homemade Mold And Mildew Remover - With Chlorine Bleach

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup chlorine bleach
• 1 1/2 cups water
• 1 tablespoon borax (optional)

Directions:

Step 1: Mix ingredients together in a spray bottle, shaking well to mix everything together.

Step 2: Spray the tile or wall with the homemade mildew cleaner and let sit for approximately 30 minutes, keeping the surface wet to keep the bleach solution active and continuing to work on killing the mold and mildew.

Step 3: Wipe and scrub off the mold and/or mildew with a cloth (with tile you can also use a soft scrub brush if you wish).

Step 4: Rinse the area with water and dry well with a clean cloth.

Hint: Spray the area which has gotten infested with mold and mildew periodically for a couple of weeks using this methd to make sure all the mold and mildew spores are killed and the problem does not return.
